Terms & conditions of carriage

1. Who we are
True Elite UK Couriers Ltd (company no. 16970406), 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. These terms apply to all collections and deliveries we carry out unless we agree different terms in writing.
2. Quotes
Quotes are free and valid for 7 days. Every quote is confirmed by us before a job is booked — nothing is charged or booked until you have our confirmation. Prices depend on distance, vehicle needed, goods handling requirements and timing (evenings, weekends and urgent same-day work carry a surcharge, agreed before booking).
3. Collection & delivery
You are responsible for making sure goods are packed safely for transport, that collection and delivery points are accessible, and that someone authorised to sign is present. If a site requires a permit, induction or escort, tell us before booking.
4. Waiting time
The first 30 minutes of waiting at any collection or delivery point are free. After that, waiting is charged at £25 per hour, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.
5. Payment
Invoices are due within 7 days unless we agree account terms in writing. We may ask for payment before collection for first-time or high-value jobs. Goods stay ours to carry, but legal title never passes to us; unpaid invoices may attract interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act.
6. Goods & insurance
Goods worth more than £1,000 must be declared before collection so we can confirm cover. Hazardous or regulated goods are only carried by prior written arrangement — see what we carry. We hold goods in transit insurance; liability for loss or damage is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the goods themselves, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or missed deadlines.
7. Cancellation
Cancel free of charge any time before the vehicle sets off to collect. Once we have set off, the job is charged at the quoted price.
8. Complaints
If something goes wrong, tell us the same day if you can — see our complaints procedure. We respond to every complaint.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
